DANI BARANOWSKI
Founder, highspitality. Policy Architect. Industry Advocate
Dani started her career in restaurants as a food runner, then server, then bartender, before jumping into the emerging cannabis industry. She spent years working with brands, selling millions of dollars and training professionals on THC across the world, changing laws along the way, and built highspitality to bring that knowledge back to where she started.
She co-founded the Chamber of Cannabis, where coordinated advocacy helped pass four landmark industry bills in Nevada. For her advocacy, she has been awarded a U.S. Senatorial Certificate of Congressional Recognition, an Advocate of the Year, Women Inspiring Nevada, and a TEDx panelist.
Today she works with innovative brands for commercial sales, as well as leads the Florida Hemp Beverage Coalition, uniting beverage brands, operators, and policymakers to shape the future of legal THC in hospitality.
highspitality is where her policy work meets the floor.

COMMON QUESTIONS
01
Is serving THC beverages actually legal?
Yes. Hemp-derived THC beverages containing 0.3% or less Delta-9 THC by dry weight are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill and permitted for on-premise service in 21+ states. Highspitality trains your team on state-agnostic guardrails: 21+ ID verification, COA-backed products, and measured service standards. Your program is built on a compliant foundation from day one
02
How long does certification take?
Level 1 takes 45 minutes and can be completed on any device, at any time. Level 2 runs 3 to 4 hours across 12 modules and is designed to be completed in a single session or across multiple sittings. Both are fully self-paced. No scheduling, no classroom, no trainer required.
03
My team already has ServSafe. Why do they need this?
ServSafe is excellent for alcohol service. It was not built for THC. It does not cover delayed onset and pacing, milligram-based dosing, cross-fading recognition, THC-specific overconsumption response, or cannabis beverage incident documentation. These are not edge cases. They are the everyday realities of serving THC beverages. Highspitality closes the gap that alcohol certifications were never designed to fill.
